3 yr old biting

Any help is appreciated

My son has just turned 3 and for tbr last sort of 4-5 months he has got into the habit of biting. He has speech and development issues, but he is biting kids and adults including family members.

I've tried biting back, naughty step, telling him off, making him leave places. But nothing is helping. I'm really struggling with what to do.

He gets over stimulated and gets way over excited which triggers is even more and if anyone tells him to stop he will do it again and again.

He also punches, pinches, slaps and kicks aswell along side the biting

It sounds like it could be a sensory thing instead of him being nasty. Could you maybe get him a teething toy or something that he could bite, so he can chew that instead of trying to bite people? I think they do chew necklaces and different products for children with sensory needs. I don't know what age they are for, but maybe something worth looking into.
