Worries about 12 month olds development!

Hi,

I have a daughter who’s nearly 13 months old. I am currently worried about her development as ever since she had covid around the middle of January she hasn’t really been the same development wise. She was rather poorly when she had covid and still chesty to this day seemingly catching every bug going and suffering from green snotty nose nearly every day with a long lasting cough. I have took her to the doctors quite a few times she was once given antibiotics for an ear infection as she kept pulling on her ears and had discharge coming out. She’s still no better but no worse.

I’m worrying about Autism more than anything else.

So in regards to her development- she reaches to be picked up and puts her arms up herself to be picked up. Come to me throughout the day looks at me and cries to be picked up. She has one word which is mama and references that to me as she mainly says it when she wants up or when she’s in her cot standing up crying and wanting out. She feeds herself well. Hold her own bottle. She checks in every few minutes with me when she’s playing alone. Not a great deal of babbling However she used to babble a ton before the sickness. She understands “milk” as she looks for her bottle. She understands “ham ham” as food. She comes to me if I say “come here” or if I gesture come here. She gives kisses when asked. She claps when asked to clap or sees me clapping. She waves bye bye occasionally. She goes to the stairs if I say night night time. Dances when I sing nursery rhymes. She has started to crawl with toys and put them in my lap. Is this classed as giving? She feeds me if I open my mouth whilst she’s eating and I say ham. She’s yet to give me something if I put my hand out for the give me gesture though. She does not point yet but presses everything with her index finger, doesn’t follow a point or show me things yet.
She’s massively working on walking at the minute. She’s been walking with furniture for a while now and is now walking holding onto walls and doors.

I know iv said a lot but Anything I should be massively concerned about?!

She sounds like a typical 12 month old. Her interaction and communication with you all sounds very positive. They all develop at different rates and can go through stages where they do loads of new things and stages where they stay the same, especially if they’re poorly. Sounds like you’re doing a great job x

This all sounds pretty normal to me! Was there a certain aspect you were worried about?
