4.5 year old suddenly wetting himself

He's been potty trained since he was 2.5 and I could probably count on one hand the amount of accidents he's had since then but in the past week or so he's wet himself almost every single day and it doesn't seem to be for any obvious reason such as too immersed in a game for example
I'm just looking for any advice as it's so out of the ordinary for him

Has your little one been checked for a UTI and/or diabetes?

I only ask because my son is currently doing this too after being potty trained for over a year and a half and this is what the doctor wanted to check for. Thankfully he didn't have either, so she advised to see if he stopped by himself after a month and if not I have to take him back.

I also read somewhere that toilet regression could also be a sign of ADHD, but it was from a goggle search, so don't know how accurate that is.
