Reflux

Please help me! I'm at my wits end. My lb started coughing when he was 2 months old. He's now 4 month. We went to the doctors and she said it might be reflux so we were put on gaviscon. It didn't work so we were put on ranitidine. That's not working either. I've tried extending his feeds from every 3 to every 4 hours, I sit him up after a feed and wind him regularly but he's still sick even hours after his feed has anyone got any advice? The hv just says he's a sicky baby and carry on what im doing but it's so upsetting to see him throw up at least twice during a feed and a couple of times after

My DD had horrible reflux and was a champion puker. She was on gaviscon which didn’t stop the sick, but helped with the pain. She was sick after every feed (purée included once weaned) up until 12 months old.

Is he distressed when he’s sick? If he’s not, then it’s probably more distressing to you than him. My only advice, buy plenty of muslins!

he isn't in distress. We are now on omeprazole and that has made no difference either. If anything it's made him lose his appetite! It's more after his feed he's sick can be up to an hour after his feed. We have been a bit naughty and tried him on purée as he's interested and he can keep it down unlike milk. We saw the doctor last week and she said maybe it might be the milk as I'm on SMA
