Ds is 6mths old. He's a pretty good sleeper and eater. However I guess we are coming up to teething time. Everyone says this is a nightmare but without specific details.

What should I expect and is there anything I can do? I guess I am most worried about him not sleeping. I have some bonjela at the ready.

Get some Calpol ready too as they can get a bit of a high temp and cold like symptoms when teething.

A chewable teething toy that you can put in the fridge would be nice for him to gnaw on too.

your lo may not get any teeth till he is 1 year old or even older but then again he may start getting them now - normally the bottom 2 front teeth are first.

DS is 6 months and have just spotted two teeth at the front - hurray!

He has been dribbling and showing signs of teething for a few months. Over Christmas he got a temp and cold like symptons, and then two teeth appeared.

His sleep did not change too much. he did wake up more, but was never too hard to settle off again. the main problem for us has been the dribbling, he soaks through bibs, tops the lot within 30 mins!

He never liked any of the things that go in the fridge - though I was mad when I offered them to him! Did use the old calpol though when he got upset during the day - would not describe it as a nightmare though!

Now I am waiting for the next lot to come through......
