I have no words of wisdom for you, Mrs Badger but thought it might comfort you to know that the exact same thing has happened to me! My darling 12 week boy has also recently experienced a change in personality. I am blaming Christmas fever and am ignoring the cries of SOLIDS from various sources.

Good luck to both of us!

the chewing sounds like teeth or at least sore gums. its perfectly possible at that age. have you had a good feel about in there? any other signs, red cheek/ear, sorer bum than usual?
not sure what you can give apart from calpol though, don't know when you can start giving bongela or suchlike. could try putting a little bit of cold water in a bottle thats been in the fridge and letting ds suck/drink that if you're ffing.
I would also prop his cot up just in case its a touch of reflux

ds1 got his 1st teeth at 4 and a half months. The chewing sounds like it could be

From 3-6 months has been the most testing time with both my DDs.... just coming out of the woods now with DD2 (6 months next week hooooofarkingraaaaaayyyyy)

I've been housebound for the last few months, but am now able to venture out into the public arena at last, without old ladies asking if she's hungry
