Recently seperated from dh and dd says...........

.....after watching 'Santa Claus' the movie (background, parents divorced mum has new husband)

'i'm not sad that you and daddy live in different houses, but i don't want either of you to get a new husband'

to which i laughed then cried. does anyone have any views on how well she's dealing with the seperation?

i know shes reverted slightly and many nights i end up with her in my bed and shes gone back to night wetting (did go back to day wetting but only for a few days)

im just slightly worried on how she's dealing with it and how she would deal with it if daddy got a gf or if i got a bf (not that i get a chance!!)

shes 3.2 yo btw!

I have no experience of this but your DD sounds like a star.

I believe reverting to wetting is fairly normal with any kind of change in routine and at 3 I wouldn't think it's anything to worry about, my ds2 who is also 3 often night wets, and I know of a couple of boys between 6-8 who also do from time to time.

As for you and your ex moving on, I think if you all take it slowly and take time to get used to each other and don't expect hollywood miracles, it should be fine. I don't think you can say how it will go until it happens.
