New mum to a 4 month old. My boy is dribbling, chewing bottle teat, eating hands etc...but can somebody please answer me .....1 - When I look in his mouth what am I looking for that indicates teething 2 - How soon do I start gels etc, when the gum is red or when the tooth is coming through?.....xxx

Hi @Michlj, we're just moving your thread over to our Behaviour/Development topic (and giving it a bump to get it back into Active Conversations). Hopefully you'll get some advice and support very soon...

Remember as well this is all normal baby behaviour and isn't necessarily teething. I often think ' teething' is over used
In my experience it's when the tooth is visibly cutting and I would use Calpol and nurofen for a few days to a week if needed at that time
