My baby is crying when I hold her

Sorry for my English, I hope it will be understandable.

Our daughter is now 6 weeks old, but from the beginning she was crying/screaming when I hold her. When my husband hold her she is quiet in a moment! I always hear 'baby feels that you are stressed", but I don't think it is the (only) reason. Ok, sometimes I became stressed when she is screaming like she is in pain, but I'm often in good mood and she is still crying and screaming when I hold her. Even when husband comfort her and give her to me when she is quiet, she starts crying right away.

It's said that voice of mother, her heart beat etc calms down baby, but it never happened.

She only tolerates me when breastfeeding.
I don't know what to do, when she screams I can only feed her to calm her down, no singing, rocking, shooshing etc. works. I can't feed her all day even if she's not hungry.

I thought that mabye my hold is too strong or doesn't give her proper support when lifting from bed etc., but even if my husband give her right into my arms she starts screaming. He can hold her in every position and she is content.

I'm devastated, I can't take care of my baby when my husband is at work. I just can change her diaper and breastfeed - otherwise she screams and there's nothing I can do to calm her down.

Can she thinks that I'm danger for her and when she smells me she is screaming in fear?

That sounds incredibly hard for you @Lilly161.

I don't know if you've tried this already but could you put a T-shirt that your DH has worn on your shoulder and lay her against that when you hold her? The smell of him might help her settle.

Today I wore sweatshirt of my husband and I was able to carry my child for a half an hour. Maybe it was a coincidence, but I will try it again.
