Ds2 has just turned 12 months old and for the past couple of months has been banging his head on things deliberately. He'll throw his head back when sitting in the highchair, pushchair etc (only place he doesn't is the car seat).
Gradually it escalated to the sofas etc and now it's got to the point that it anything; doors, walls, floors.
I don't know what to do! I'm trying everything I can think of to stop him, ignoring (when in highchair - have had to pad the head bit with blankets to cushion his head), moving him and saying no dangerous, distraction, different toys and games. He just thinks its funny and laughs.
I've been told this is normal... but I really don't know. Has anybody had a LO do this? Is it just a stage?
I'm fretting he's going to get concussion from it!
