Bottle refusal

Hi all,

Reassurance/ advice needed. My second baby (4 months) had always been a bit fussy with her feeds. She's been formula fed since week 2 so the bottle and formula isn't new. She's on a 2 flow, chokes on a 3. She's gone from a feed before bed and one big feed in the night to neither! She wakes still, hungry in night, but won't eat. This problem is spreading out from the night earlier and earlier earlier the afternoon. She now on a daily basis feeds last at 4pmish and then not again until 5am. I'm worried she has a bottle phobia. Our first had all food he could all the time. Our second screams and goes red in the face when the bottle touches her lips. The literal second. Advice or reassurance please

No idea on this sorry but I would ask @MNHQ to move this over to Infant Feeding. You're bound to get a few more replies in there.

Hi @Sillymummies123 - take a look into Rowena Bennett’s bottle aversion book. You can google before purchasing to check if it resonates with your situation first x

Sorry to jump on this but my 13 week old is doing the same!!! Did you get to the bottom of it? Xxx

No, sorry. She was very colicky and very very fussy about feeding, about being with anyone other than mummy. She's now the happiest, most outgoing and easygoing girl ever. A phase I suppose! Gold luck to you! I've heard anecdotally that fussy babies make docile children 😅
