Teething symptoms once tooth is through

Once the tooth has cut through, how long did people find it was before teething symptoms went? Do they disappear as soon as the tooth cuts or are they still there for a few days after?

Long time since mine were that little but I think it was a couple of days with some.

Mine is teething his 6th tooth at the moment and has popped 5 teeth within 1.5 months so we've had our fair share of teething right now!

Anyway, worst teething tended to be day or so before it cut. Once it's cut it dies down a lot - I think pressure is lessened. But I found teething symptoms (dribbling, chewing, bit grumpy) would be off and on for quite a while before it got to actually tooth cutting stage sadly!

Depends what you mean by teething symptoms! DS has been excessively dribbly and chewing on everything in sight for about 6 months now. I think it's just how he is as a baby! He only has teething symptoms (for him this is crying with pain during the day, unable to settle to sleep) for 1-2 days before each tooth comes through. Calpol/nurofen really helps.
