Stuttering in nearly 5 year old

Hi my daughter is 4 years old. She has been stuttering for around 8 months now. We have seen a speech therapist once for assessment and she gave us some advice on what to do and we have been put on the waiting list which is roughly a year wait.

At first I thought it could be a developmental stutter but the longer it goes on I'm thinking it could be a true stutter. She is due to start school in august and I was hoping we would be receiving therapy by then. She doesn't seem to appear bothered by her stutter which is good and we haven't been drawing any attention to it and have been slowing our own pace of speech down when talking to her.

Does anyone have a child who has stutter and has therapy helped them?

It would be good to speak to other mums going through similar.

No experience sorry but I've found this fact sheet from ICan. Is that any use?
