Anyone with a young baby with a milk allergy? How did you diagnose it? 11 week old formula fed baby who we thought had reflux (pain after eating, unsettled, never happy after feeds, lots of vomiting) but she also has really watery poos. Always has. Which I don't think can be reflux related? Gaviscon snd carobel did nothing for reflux and problems have continued.

The DC haven't got it but I have. It certainly sounds as though it could be a reason.

Have you read this from Allergy UK? It gives the symptoms abs how to talk to your HCPs Smile

My little girl had this.. she would cry 10 hours a day.. she had reflux and rash all over her chest and face.. it took a few attempts to get her a prescription milk but finally the doctors saw sense and put her on neocate.. she was like a brand new baby. I hope you get it all sorted.. my little girl is now 2 and still can't have dairy.

In sons case [severe IgE allergies to mltiple proteins inc milk o carries epipens] sitting next to a woman eating a cream cake when he was four weeks old. He started screaming, broke out in hives and rapidly looked like he had been burnt as I watched. Trip to A&E.

Six weeks old - very severe eczema to the point his skin had to be wet wrapped looked like he had been badly sunburnt, constant lip blisters and mouth blisters - exclusively breast fed. Back to A&E. Lots of hospital tests later confirmed he had anaphylaxis with through the roof IgE blood tests every time. I found out how many skin products contain milk the hard way.

Under peadiatric dietician who advised I stop eating everything he was very reactive to [milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, fish] He had to have a total exlcusion diet from and monitored by regional children's.
