Early intervention at school aged 4

My four year old has been 'invited' in to school early one morning next week to look at Phonics flash cards in a small group... should I be worried?! I thought he was doing quite well so far after just one term and can write a few words and the class sizes are big these days so if anyone has any experience of this please share with me, thanks Smile

If it's just one day next week, not every week, perhaps the school is planning for each of them to have a small group session. A quick chat with the teacher, or an email via the school office should give you a better picture.
