What kind of baby turns into what kind of child?

What kind of temperament did your baby have, and how did that translate into later childhood?

I guess the kind of thing I'm thinking is...is a chilled, easy baby likely to become and happy, easy child? Or will they be adrenaline junkies, needing more thrills to get them stimulated?

Or does an clingy, anxious baby always turn into a clingy child?

I'm just interested in the patterns really, if there are any.

Very much anecdotal so I wouldn't claim any thing from it, but my very 'unwilling to sleep' baby became my very boisterous toddler, my incredibly hyperactive schoolchild.
Next dc was always so much easier - as a baby they only woke for a feed in the night then went back to sleep....they never really bothered much with tantrums..... they were always much calmer, more measured, less extreme at everything at school.

My first born was a wonderful sleeper and the easiest baby! She was a hyper toddler and then it got worse... She was a full on nuisance at 4 and was diagnosed at 6 with ADHD. She's now 17 and a good kid compared to a lot of teens. I don't get much trouble from her and she does well at school. Weirdly, she wasn't clingy as a baby or toddler, but when she turned 11 and the school were going on a residential trip, she wouldn't go as didn't want to leave me...

My little one is only turning 3. Sleeping has been Crap since the start! 😂 She's pretty headstrong. God knows what I've got in store.

My first DC was a dream baby, always happy, very laid back, slept well.

He's 6 now and still sleeps well but is often stroppy, sulky and manic. Definitely not laid back!
