i know toddlers are toddlers and they have big feelings they can't express so ends up in tantrums and screaming etc. but over the past week my almost 2 year old (this month) has just non stop kicked off at everything i've said, screamed in shops over the smallest things. it's caused a lot of arguments between me and my partner as i'm trying to be calm and acknowledge his feelings but i just feel so out of control? how do i go about this? it is really embarrassing too as i have a 2 month old baby. i don't think it's to do with my other son being born as he gets a lot of attention still and he loves him dearly! any advice is welcome Smile

Its just normal and there is notmuch uou can do - sorry! My 9 year old still has occasional tantrums Blush.

I usually just try to distract if possible - or wait for it to pass. A snack they like might distract them if you are somewhere like the supermarket and want it to end as quick as possible - I carry some with me just in case!

And don’t feel embarrassed about a 2 year old having a tantrum in public. Any adult walking by who doesn’t understand- was themselves once a baby who had tantrums!
