I've been worrying about my Dds behaviours and mood swings for a while and just heard about "adrenarche" (lots more info on Google and it seems relevant to boys & girls)

It's massively reassured me but I can't find much on:

  1. how to deal with it? I.e. now I know the likely root cause I'm more sympathetic but does this mean I should cut her some slack? Or is it important she knows it's not appropriate to take her feelings out on others and that there are consequences? And
  2. how long does this phase typically last? Please tell me it's not long 🙏🏼

Until 6 months ago I had the happiest bubbly most social Dd, how seems to have changed overnight! Obviously I want to support her as much as I possibly can but I don't want to be too soft and make too many allowances
