8 year old attitude

How do you feel with bad attitude at this age?
And disrespect?
She goes through phases. At times it's worse than others
She gets angry, that I'm not letting her do what she wants or not reacting in the way that she wants me to etc. Afterwards she says sorry and gives me a cuddle but invariably the attitude and disrespect happens again. I understand it's fairly normal development but how do people deal with this? Has anyone managed to actually stop it?

Try Googling "adrenarche" - I've been having a very similar experience with my 7yo Dd and after coming across this it explains so much about her recent behaviour/attitude!

Easier said than done, but try not to take it personally. A lot of adults struggle controlling behaviour! I'd bring bedtime earlier and have less treats provided (don't necessarily need the child to know, just not doing it can help mentally). That's how I roll.
