Stressing about baby’s head control

Hi all,

I’m a first time mum and don’t know any friends with children so just looking for a bit of advice please. My 3 month old only sleeps with her head to one side (can be left or right) and still can’t turn her head from side to side when lying on her back. I can sit her upright and her head is still a bit wobbly but it can still drop and then she can’t lift it but she can hold it for a length of time. I spoke to my GP about it a few weeks ago who didn’t have a clue…was just wondering if anyone here knows if this is normal?

Not sure on that one. How is she during tummy time?

She just lays there in tummy time and then looks like she is trying to push up with arms but can’t. But when she’s on my chest she can support herself so have been doing it on my chest instead xx

I think this is totally normal, I have a 12 week old and had the same worries but she has now started switching sleeping sides and the head control is coming along, I posted about it when I was in panic mode a few weeks ago and lots of people told me it was normal! And that head control really comes at 4 months +

That’s great to here! Googling things doesn’t help sometimes, I feel much more reassured now xx
