no

go off & have a cup of tea and leave her to it

It's totally normal, DS started sleeping better once he could roll onto his side, now he sometimes sleeps on his front too (he is 10mo). After about 6mo and once they can roll, the risk of Sids is very very low.

leave her! dont wake her by turning her on her back - she is comfy

she will be turning over to sleep on her tummy soon - leave her to it

Ubergeekian · 21/12/2007 09:15

As I understand it, sleeping on the back is advised when they are small and can't get out of a potentially nasty face-down-on-the-mattress position. Once they're big enough to roll themselves into a new position the problem is by definition over.

His Nibs' favourite sleeping position from about 12 months has been kneeling, face down and to one side, rump in the air. He looks a bit silly and very, very cute.

ahhhh - ubergeekian - DS1 and 2 did that. I'm just waiting for DS3 to do it as well!

my daughter was sleeping on her tummy (supervised naps)from 4 months, from about 5m every time we went to the cot she was either on her side or tummy .... she's now 7 months, and i let her be, and sleep how she prefers (she does have good neck control, lifts herself up, and can roll onto her tummy if she wants) At least it stops all that pressure on the back of their heads!
