My baby is 14 weeks, he’s not trying to reach and grab toys etc, his hands are always in his mouth or still waving around. He will hold onto you or grab hair etc but not openly trying to grab anything in particular. I did mention to the HV but she wasn’t concerned, I feel with these milestones your baby “SHOULD” be doing it at that time x

Hi,

Does he have the grasp reflex? I am worrying about this happening with mine as he doesn't have the grasp reflex( waiting to see paeditrician). So I have been googling a lot about it and I read all baby's develop differently, some baby's don't reach and grab until 4 months plus. If its really bothering you I would ring your GP to put your mind at ease. Nothing worse than worrying!

Does he track and trace and smile...etc?

Yes he does everything else, and he’s been holding his head up early, has rolled over and now is screeching 😂, he will hold his bottle when feeding etc, but just doesn’t seem to want to reach for anything. X
