2yo suddenly scared of shower

So my DD is 2 next week and for the last 3 weeks has become terrified of the shower. We don't have a bath but a huge shower which she sits in and usually plays in for absolutely ages, but for the last few weeks she runs away as soon as she hears the shower turn on. I've tried getting in with her, sitting by the side and playing, holding the shower head, different temps etc but she just loses her mind. She's had no water related trauma or anything, it's so random. Any advice?!

did she slip? did a car backfire and made a loud bang the last time she was in there? did she get a bit cold the last time she was being dried?

i'm only asking because clearly it's come from somewhere and it's not always logical or that obvious, we've had similar "strange" incidents but on most occasions managed to trace it back to something not very obvious! (a good example being scared suddenly of a certain public room in our house, it took us days of scratching our heads then we spotted DC running away looking worried when a light was on outside, shining scary looking shapes on the wall)

it might not be obvious to you is what i'm saying.

@SeemingSeamstress I've honestly gone back and there's nothing. I always stay in the bathroom with her so would have remembered if she had an incident, not loud noises or anything either! Honestly no idea, I'm just trying my best to show her that there's nothing to be scared of and hope she gets over it fairly soon!
