Newborn struggles!

My LG is 4 weeks old and is really unsettled, she doesn't sleep for much longer than half an hour at a time and while she is awake she looks very uncomfortable straightening her legs, crying and pulling faces. She does struggle bringing up wind however HV and midwife have said as long as it comes out of one of two ends (which it does) there's no need to worry! I've tried all things colic! Could changing formulas make any difference? She's a really good drinker but this is the last thing I can think of!!
Hate seeing her so upset with herself
Any suggestions welcome!!

Have you thought about a visit to a cranial osteopath who work with babies? I've heard many a success story for colic!

My son was older but when we switched to goats milk a lot of his digestion problems calmed down. There is a goats milk formula suitable for newborns called Nanny Goat xxx

A couple of things that might help are putting Dentinox in the bottle and trying the Tiger in the Tree Hold should both help with the wind.

If she's only sleeping for 30 is it wind that's waking her or is it just normal baby behaviour? Have a Google of the fourth trimester. It's pretty normal for them to want to sleep on you at this age.

Some other things you can try are putting a T-shirt that DH has worn as the sheet in her Moses basket as it will give it a reassuring smell.

White noise might help as well but yes, if you want to swap formulas that's absolutely fine. Which one is LO on now?

@SleafordSods she's waking crying/screaming and still won't settle while laid on me, my first daughter was the same with sleeping but settled while on me which is what's throwing me off! We started with dentinox last night so fingers crossed it will give her some relief! I want changing formula to be my last resort as I don't want to cause her any (more) stomach upset if possible! We're currently on C&G stage one

It might be worth trying HIPP Organic. I know a few who have changed to that one and have been ok.

Has she been checked for Tongue Tie? That can cause them to be pretty unsettled Thanks

Could be acid reflux? Is she alright when sleeping upright on you?

My DS is 7 weeks and we think he was developing colic so moved him into c&g comfort. We also try and make his bottles up using the kettle and he seems to enjoy these a lot more compared to the prep machine and he seems more settled. HV said to just move onto comfort formula. I also thought he had a touch of reflux but nothing major, the comfort formula is thicker so might help if possible reflux going on.
