Head butting 1yr old

I don't know if to be concerned or not my recently turned 1 year old daughter has started banging her head on the floor when she can't have something, such as if we've taken the remote control of her she will then walk up to whatever is near her or bed over and headbut the floor. I noticed she did this off and on when she was around 11months old, when the health visitor came out at 11.5months for her developmental check I mentioned it to her she didn't seem concerned or other any advice other then saying because she's advanced for her age (according to their checklist) it's most probably out of frustration with not being able to have whatever it is. This has now got more frequent whenever she is unable to have something she will bend over and head but the floor or whatever is close. Is this normal behaviour for a 1yr old. Does anyone have any suggestion how to manage this behaviour ive taken to try and ignore it but it's difficult when she's butting the floor im worried she's going to hurt herself

My DS did this for a while around this age as well. I think it's frustration. They understand a lot at this age but can't express themselves very well.

I'd work on her language, ignore the head butting as you are and she should soon grow out of it.

DS must have hurt his head the first time he did it so used to put a cushion on the floor before he banged his head Grin
