Toothbrushing Tips?

Evening, does anyone have any tips for encouraging a 21 month old with toothbrushing? Ive tried pinning her down/ wrapping her in a towel which she obviously hates & creates lots of stress at bedtime. And Ive tried letting her do it herself whilst I encourage which results in minimal brushing. Any other ideas?! Thanks!

Does she like Babybum? It has a 'this is the way you brush your teeth' song. There are lots on youtube too. I tell DS he's a big boy and big boys get their teeth brushed. I brush mine at the same timeand so does DP when he's brushing DS's teeth. Usually we go first. We praise him when helets us. Sometimes we need to deal with tears (usually when teething) but oon those occasions we dont push too hard. Try notto make it traumatic. Being wrapped in a towel or pinned down would be scary as for a tot. They can understand a fair bit by 21 months (my DS has understood teeth brush from before 1, he's 22 months now). Tell her she needs her teeth clean just like her hair, body etc in bath. Stop restraining her.

The only thing that works for me is tv 🤦‍♀️! I find something on YouTube that’s about 2 minutes long , sometimes it’s teeth related but not always . I’ve been doing that with my 2.5 year old for the past year .
