5 year old is so stubborn but I’m really unsure how to deal with it. Examples

Trying to get her ready for school - refuses to get ready. Just point blank says no.
Ask her to come and do her hair - no. Refuses to do her hair.
Last night I went to cut her fingernails. Usually she hates this so I was prepared for a fight. She first of all refused and then I said ok actually they’re not too long so I’ll leave it another week. Then she insisted she wanted them cut but that she wanted to cut them. So she tried but couldn’t get it so threw the nail clippers on the floor. Then I said I would help her but she then punched my arm three times and again tried to cut her own nails. I then was worried she was going to hurt herself so took the clippers away and she calmed down.

I then said my arm hurt and she said oh I’m sorry about hurting you. And she said I was making her sad for saying I was hurt.

Honestly I’m at my wits end.

I should say at the moment I tried the 123 magic approach. I say “thats 1 name” and then that’s 2 and that’s 3. After 3 she goes for a time out in her bedroom but will kick and punch the door and continually come out her room so I need to keep it closed. But she either messes her room up or kicks the door continually. I’ve tried time out on the bottom stair but she refuses to sit there so I’ve no idea what I should do.

Also in the morning whilst she refuses to get ready for school I don’t physically have time to put her in time out and hold the door closed.
