28 month old - should I worry?

Earlier this year my wife & I had concerns around autism when our toddler was 22 months, but these lessened when he became a bit more interative. We recently went on holiday for a week and since returning we've noticed what seems to be some regression. Once again, we're questioning autism.

This is how he is now:
-eye contact not as good, inconsistent (will look at either of us when wants something)
-doesn't respond to his name and never really has (but when you ask him a question he will answer)
-play is mainly pushing about toy cars, only once heard him go "vroom"
-doesn't get us involved in play, but likes pushing my wifes & me heads together so we give each other a kiss
-will run back & forth sometimes
-doesn't participate at all in gymboree, does his own thing

However:
-sleeps very well
-eats very well
-no tantrums
-no repetitive behaviour
-no fixed behaviour
-will say "help me" if wants for help with something
-will smile, laugh, certainly not monotone

He's not at nursery or childminder, but he's going next month to nursery.

I was wondering if this sort of thing seems OK-ish. I'm aware there are some autism flags there, but I wonder if maybe some of this is him going through a development phase?

Lots of it does sound like normal toddler behaviour but if you're worried about ASD, there's no harm in doing the MChat test.
