My girl is 20 weeks old and she constantly wants to stand, obviously with our support. She is straightening her legs when want her to sit up. She’s even able to stand up on her own for a few seconds which we took a video off, I sent it to my mum and she called me back straightaway saying how bad it is for her hips and spine, my auntie said similar thing independently of my mum. Today I asked my health visitor is it really bad for her and she said no, it’s fine and that she’s got strong legs, may start to walk so sooner than other kids might not but it’s fine to let her do that. Who should I listen to?

Are your DM & DA trained medical professionals?

I am quite baffled first at how a baby so young can want to stand, how on earth do you know this? Also I don't physically see how it is possible, assume can't roll, crawl, sit etc?

She doesn't want to stand up 🙄

@mabel12345 Our daughter was exactly the same. Her legs are solid! She's 8.5 months now, can stand whilst holding something and isnt far off walking. Smile
