social behaviour at school

hi my daughter is 10 and she has friends at school but allways seems to be on the outside the girls form two groups in the morning before class and she is allways in the middle on the outside of the two circles not talking to anyone
she had a best friend since nursery but not a good friend as keeps dropping her and ignoring her but she still runs after her and calls her her best friend
there is another group that walks to school there all nice kids so we drop her so she can meet with them and walk and chat but i watched from a distance there was three at the front chatting two at the back chatting and she was in the middle on her own again im at a loss at what to do
she’s so happy when she’s at home
anyone else have this problem please let me know

I would talk to the teacher and ask if she is similar at school.

Hi yes teacher seems to think she’s fine
she was dropped of with the group again this morning and i watched from a distance she was actually better was chatting
im under the impression that her so called best friend keep dropping her and excluding her was undermining her confidence
i honestly think she felt she didn’t belong but now hopefully she feels accepted

The "Smart Girl Guides" are good. This one in particular might be useful for your DD.

Does she do any activities away from these girls, like Scouts, Dancing or Climbing?

no she doesnt
yes she joined a mushroom theatre group street dance club
it was her third time yesterday and she is absolutely loving it
she is making friends there allready
so thats a relief
