Struggling!

Hi all,
I'm new to this!
Feeling like the worst Mum ever but I'm finding my 12 month old hard work.
She has recently started this really high pitch scream to get what she wants, it's driving me insane! She hates the car and the Pram which makes getting out so hard as she's always so unhappy and she's heavy so I can't carry her.
I struggle to fill my days with things to do, all the groups around us run from 10-11 and she's always napping then and she will be so grumpy at the group if I don't let her nap. I don't really have any friends with similar age children so feel really isolated.
Any help/advice or just to know I'm not alone would really help. Thank you!

@marie2021 you are so not alone - I could have written the exact same post when my DD was 12 months. She's now 3.
It is so so hard in those early months and then when you think you're getting somewhere - it turns into nap battles!
What is her night sleep like?
Does she sleep in the car at all?

Hi,
She will sleep in the car eventually but she screams for normally about twenty mins and then will have the shortest nap like 15-20 mins and wakes up fuming as she's still tired. She sleeps well at night I can't complain about that I just fine the day naps really restrictive.
It's also knowing what to do with her all day, I'm hoping when she drops to one nap and can walk it will open up a few more things for us as there's no afternoon groups here so she misses out on a lot.

12 month olds are really hard work. 10-14 months was a particular low point for me. I assume she can’t walk yet? It comes in waves but the fussy behaviour subsided a lot for my DS when he cruised proficiently and then started taking some independent steps. He also became happier in the sling and the pushchair again. Still won’t sit for an hour like he did at 7 months, but will go in it for 20 minutes without fussing. At 12 months old he screamed and arched his back within seconds.

I hear you about the groups. I have no idea why everything is in the morning at 10am. It’s really tricky when you are still on 2 naps with a baby who won’t happily nap in the car/pushchair en route. Cuts everything off. It does get easier when they drop to one nap…but the pay off are the afternoons are super long!
