Hi mums, first of all I'm aware my 14 month ds is young to be diagnosed however I wanted to list a few concerns and see if anyone could offer there advice as I'm a first time mum. I have done some research on autism so I'm a little confused does my ds need all characteristics or just a few?
Ok so here is what I've observed.

  1. My ds has never responded to his name
  2. He has never pointed or gestured and anything
  3. Never waved or any other gesture.
4 doesnt interact in play with me, prefers to play alone Turs all cars, objects with wheels upside down spins the wheels only.
  1. Jolts arms and legs continuously whilst shaking head side to side.
  2. Doesnt attempt to walk.
  3. Keeps hand in top near neck

He is loving, looks me in the eye. Says dada, mama, nana, and new one is yes.

He is such a happy baby I dont know if I'm over thinking but family members have started to comment on the behaviours above.

All together those do sound like red flags for Autism OP. But that doesn't mean he is Autistic....the only way to find out is to see your GP and book an assessment.

I'm sorry you've got concerns. It's never nice to worry about our children.

Thank you.

I know looking at them individually it seems normal baby behaviour it's only when I think of it as a whole I worry. Well worry prob the wrong word I just want to make sure I do the best for him and if he has needs I dont know about I want to make sure I get the best advice to help him if that makes sense
