Newborn Hand Movements

Hi All, my cousins had the first baby in our family for 20 years and so in a way we're all being his mommy (it takes a village), this also might be why myself and my mum are worried about him.

He's 4 weeks old and was a month early, and since he was 2 weeks has started making jerky movements with his hands; his fingers will stretch and move stiffly, then jerk up also. He did have low blood sugar on his last doctors appointment and was also a bit underweight, he's put back on the correct weight but we're just a bit worried about the hand movements? He seems to be doing it every day and not sure if it's normal as google results range from saying it's normal to signs of autism . I don't want to worry my cousin about it as it's her first baby and I'm sure she's feeling stressed as it is, but would love some advice,

Has anyone had this with their newborn? Is it something to be worried about? Thank you x
