eye convergence problems

DD 10's eyes converge at about 20cm instead of about 8cm.

The pen excercises seem to help but when we stop doing them they get worse again.

She does say reading is blurred, but she does read a lot and her handwriting is awful

Anyone elses dc have this and managed to sort it out.

She has 10 eyes? No wonder they don't converge.

Sorry.

DS2 had this, but a regular optician didn't pick up on the tracking problem. You can see specialist opticians - we worked it out by doing different exercises than just the pen one. The pen one seems designed to test it, rather than help it, if that makes sense.

I should really read my posts properly!

It was our optician that picked it up, we had no idea as she never complained of seeing double or blurring until the optician asked her after he tested her for it.

The pen excercise she is supposed to do for about 10 minutes a day, trying to get it closer and closer before she sees double.
