Hello, it's just a quick question and nothing serious, just something I'm wondering...

Will my baby be this clingy forever?! He's 4 months and 3 weeks. He had v intense colic for the first 3 months and he's now much more settled generally but he really doesn't like to be put down for longer than 5-10 minutes in any kind of baby chair, play mat, jumperoo etc sometimes he screams so much the instant I put him down, other times he's happier for a little bit. It seems to have got a little worse in the last 2 weeks.

Just wondering if this is something they grow out of and how I could help him feel more secure when not attached to me?! I tend to make sure I give him something to hold which helps a little.

I know babies need to be close to us to feel safe but my eldest wasn't like this, he was happy to be plonked anywhere for a bit, so I'm not used to it!
