Sleeping tips for 18 month old

My youngest Daughter is 18 months old.

She's not horrific at night, but she is still waking up so I'm looking for some advice on how to stop that!

She tends to have dinner, a milk and then falls asleep around 7. She wakes up at 11/12 each night and we give her a milk (I know she's too old for it, but we have a 4 year old too and I'm so tired that I'd do anything for sleep). Although now I realise that I'm not helping myself!! That normally sends her back to sleep for a few hours (but not always).

She will then cry a little bit and make whingy noises. She can do this for up to 4 hours and we are in and out of her room trying milk, lying in bed with her, rocking her. She will stop crying for a bit when we do these things but it's like she's just struggling to get back to sleep.

Any tips please?
