2-year-old begs strangers for food

My 2-year-old is a really fussy eater! Right now, the foods he likes are cereal, yogurts, chicken nuggets, beans, spaghetti hoops, biscuits, and cake! He won't even eat a banana anymore! We went to a social event and I tried bringing a packed lunch (sandwich and teddy bear crisps). He refused to eat it and went around begging everyone for food. In the end, I bought Welsh cakes and quavers and he ate them! I feel like people are constantly judging or believe I don't feed him at home! Any advice?

Ignore them. One of mine would only eat cucumber, pasta and cake for what seemed like ages! She's 13 now and eats everything and is a good height and healthy weight. Just take things out that you know he'll eat when it's meal times. Don't offer snacks and don't worry.

Offer him more than what you know he'll eat though...shove a few other things on his plate...eventually he will eat them. Let him ignore them now though and don't say a word about it.
