Baby acne

Hi all..

I am hoping someone can help shed some light from any personal experience.. my 6 week old baby has started developing some sort of rash all over his face, I have been to the GP twice ; was initially told it was milia and second GP said it was baby acne - both said there was no treatment and it would go on its own.
The issue is it is getting worse and I’ve noticed it is now down my baby’s neck and few specks on chest also - image inserted.

I am not convinced this is milia and wonder if it is eczema or a reaction to something ?

Any thoughts? If you experienced something similar what worked for you?

Hey, did you find out what the rash is as my 8 week old has something looking very similar

My DD had what we were told was baby acne at around 2 months old. It looked like a terribly sore rash, all around her face, neck and chest but it didnt seem to bother her. I used some Aveeno moisturiser on it but tbh I dont think it did anything. It cleared up on it's own within a few weeks. In total honesty I think it bothered me more than her (it's a shock when that perfect baby skin suddenly looks like a teenagers!).

So if it's that you will just have to wait it out I'm afraid but its nothing to worry about.

My DS developed acne around 2 months too. Looks similar to the pic above, I used sudocrem and within 2 days it's now cleared up.

Hi it did clear up but for anyone wondering our son now does have keratosis Pilaris.. small bumps on his cheeks and thighs..we have been managing it using a urea based cream from GP which has worked well.
