Hi all,
Hope you've enjoyed your weekends!
Quick question if I may. My DS is 3 months old and has taken a dummy since he was about a month and a half (it's been a magical helping him get to sleep) but within the last few weeks he's been pushing the dummy out (assuming by accident) as he's also trying to shove his fist in his mouth.
If he pushes the dummy out he just sucks on his fist - doesn't cry at all but squirms slightly as he's literally trying to get his whole fist in there.
When I remove his fist and put the dummy back in, he starts to get sleepy but a few minutes later repeats the process of pushing the dummy out because he's also trying to get his fist in his mouth yet the action of sucking on his fist doesn't sooth him at all - in fact I think he gets frustrated because his little fist won't fit all the way in.
Does any one know why he's doing this? I'm not sure whether I'm missing something like he could be teething, or whether he's just exploring his hands. I'm also not sure if I should keep stopping him from trying putting his hand in mouth in order to get him to sleep.
Any thoughts would be fab!
Thanks!
