16 months - no words

Am worried with my boy as doesnt says any word at 16 months, he babbles says nananana, mumumum daadda but doesn't mean its mummy or daddy and doesnt respond to his name when called but if we shout calling his name he reacts and looks. Did anyone here go to an early check for autism?

Well in a fashion. We knew he was autistic from about 5 months old so were under services early on.

I would suspect the first thing you need to do is get his hearing checked? Have you done this? You can go through your HV xxx
