7 year olds behaviour.

I have a 7 year old son. His behaviour is ridiculous. He never listens,also screeching, smacks people,shouting,tells me what he's doing, never sits still,calls people names ect. I reward him for good behaviour but it always follows with bad. I put him in the corner also take his possessions away when he's being naughty.
What can I do? it's having effect on all the family.

How is he at school and how long has he been like this for?

He's on summer holidays at minute return's next week to his new school, his last school says he gets distracted very easily. He's been like this awhile now. We've recently moved house and in 2020 I ended it with his dad.

That's a lot of change for him and it's bound to have some effect.

I'd stick with staying calm and having firm boundaries but see how his first term goes in his new school.
