Private autism assessments?

Hi. Does anyone have any experience of having a private assessment done for a teenager pls? Our local authority one is average completion in about 2 years! Just wondering how to compare providers out there & how to do this all for the best. And any suggestions for a parent trying to understand it all would be good. Thank you.

Omg that's a long time! I don't have much experience but I didn't want to read and run.

I do know you need to be careful as some schools don't accept private diagnosis. So check that before you spend money on going down that route.

There are plenty of Facebook groups which I am sure would be able to offer you more help in this area.
