Hi

Anyone recommend a Smart Trike? I've found this one online which has a foot rest which I thought was a good idea although not sure if that is necessary?

TIA

There's a best buy section on Mumsnet for trikes. I got the top scorer in that - BabyDriver3 from John Lewis and it's fab.

Lockable steering is really good, and it's handy to be able to disengage the pedals, or have a footrest, if your child is quite young and you think you might want to use it basically as a buggy for some of the time. For older children you may not want to give them the option of coasting with feet on footrest.

Just got babydriver3 too from JL it is great. Lockable steering is the most essential as well as disengaging the pedals - cheaper models don't usually have this feature

We just ordered an OKO trike for DD's Xmas - it looks fab and will do her for years as it is mostly etal - not plasticky like alot of them.

Thanks for your replies. We were thinking about the babydriver 3 so will take a look in more detail.
