Hey - my nearly 3 year old has become terrified of monsters. She doesn't watch scary stuff at all but she just thinks she knows what they are and that they're scary.

Anyone cracked the best story to settle their irrational fears?

No idea about a story but you could maybe show her the monsters from monsters inc (not the whole film, I think they do funny shorts but the whole film does have a bad monster in it) or Google monster repellant spray - it’s a thing because so many kids go through this.
I vaguely remember putting some lavender essential oil in a spray bottle (calming & relaxing) & DS happily knew that, whatever it was he was afraid of, didn’t like the smell so he was safe.

There's loads of great monster books. There's a monster in my book, blue monster and there's no such thing as monsters to name but a few. In Iove the monster in my book especially

Thank you both so much! This is why I put it out here! The spray is a great idea I'm totally doing that she'll love it! And I didn't even think about books!

Today she told me the monster at nannies walks on sticks 🥴

The one at ours is hairy.

My mother in law is a spiritualist and i someone's worry she's seeing ghosts but I think that's a very common fear haha my nephew used to say a woman came in every night and shh'd him and my sister couldn't sleep for weeks lol!
