14-15 month behaviour issue

Hi, my 14/15 month old seems to get some bad tantrums

As an example I took him to his weekly swimming lesson. He had a nap and some food ahead of the lesson but as soon as we went to go into the pool building he had a massive meltdown. Crying, thrashing out etc.

I tried a few things, calming him down by talking, moving away from the building, distracting him etc., talking with another parent+baby.

But every time we went back into the building he had the same meltdown. So bad that we couldn't do the lesson.

Does anyone have any tips/suggestions about what to try?

Sorry if this is stating the obvious but not going swimming for a while will help. There is clearly something he doesn't like about it but of course he can't tell you. I don't think it is a tantrum at all so don't think you should worry it just seems like normal baby behaviour.

Is it the first time this has happened? And only with the swimming pool building?

Hi all, yeah first time it's happened after going swimming for over a year. Was so bad we had to abandon the lesson (couldn't force/insist he does it as his crying would have disrupted the other lesson taking place)
