5 year old sudden swallowing issues

My 5 year old has suddenly developed issues in the last week or so with chewing/swallowing her food. She was previously a brilliant eater in both variety and quantity and loved her food. She lost her second tooth last weekend and since has practically stopped eating and what little she does eat chews it for ages and says she’s scared of choking and swallowing. She says she has no pain. We think maybe someone has said something about swallowing/choking on her tooth before it fell out. I take showing no signs of improving and don’t know what to do? Meals are now taking about 1.5 hours and even then she isn’t eating much. GP is it concerned until she loses a significant amount of weight - has lost 1.5lb so far. Has anyone had any similar experiences or any advice? I’m so stressed and worried.

If you want to keep weight up, have you tried a few things like homemade milkshakes, soup for lunch followed by ice cream and things that they usually enjoy fit a few days?

My 3 year old choked on an apricot and had real issues with eating for about 6 weeks, it was really awful and the hardest thing I have experienced as a parent. She was petrified of chewing/eating/food/choking. Eventually she got over it… i’m sure the same will also happen here. Stressful at the time though
