5 m.o. spasms or just teething?

Hi all, please help me 😞

My little girl has started rubbing her face the past week. She does it multiple times a day as if it was itchy, which doesn't concern me. What concerns me is that sometimes she does these jerky/twitchy movements with it (looks like spasms with her legs and arms) she also started arching her back when laying on a mat very often and is more ifussy than usual. It's not tiredness She also tugs on her ears which I know is a sign of teething.
The spasm-y movements are really scaring me though and I was wondering if any of you had similar expriences? I just want to enjoy her without worrying constantly. 😔

Please, any feedback/experiences are highly appreciated. Thank you. ❤️

My DS did similar with teething. Best thing to do is take a video and get a health professional to view it. I can't be sure from your description but it sounds like it's normal from what I saw of my son xxx

Hi, I am having very similar by the sounds of this post with my 6 month old baby girl, do you have an update please OP?

Google is the worst!! Makes you feel so uneasy!!

I know, Google is horrible with this. But I'm here to reassure you girl. My daughter is 2 years old tomorrow and she is doing amazing. The spasms and jerky movements turned out to be silent reflux, nothing else. It did look scary at that time but the gastroenterologist confirmed that that was it. Try asking your daughter's doctor about it and see what they say. Good luck! ☺️

Oh thank you so much that is great to hear!! I have been to the doctor who did a neuro check on her he said he's not concerned. He said he will contact the hospital in case they want to see her but he thinks it's highly unlikely they will do so we will see! In fact her little tooth popped through yesterday so I am wondering if it was to do with the pain of that! Thank you for taking the time to reply ❤️
