My daughter, 10months, has been using a pointing finger for around 2/3 weeks now. But I’m not actually sure if she is pointing at anything specifically sometimes she points at me and seems to point at the light a lot. When we went on a day out she seemed to point to some leaves etc.
I’m not sure if this is in track with development. She doesn’t say anything yet which worries me a little, she babbles a lot but doesn’t Mimic just kind of chats away to herself.
Seems to be able to follow a few things, will pass and object back and forth between me and her, arms up to be lifted, this morning played peekaboo all my herself for the first time and was covering and uncovering her head and cracking up laughing.
Just really want some reassurement and when babies should say an actual word/should I be worried about not copying sounds?

That's early for pointing and would also be early for real words!

Yeah sounds exactly like my little boy and I’m fairly certain he’s normal, nursery seem to think so anyway. He’s 17mo now and started saying a few words between 11-12m but not consistently. I’d say it’s only been in the last few months he’s started properly talking consistently.
