Hi guys. My daughter is 16 months old. She isnt walking yet. She strated crawling late as well. Around 14months. We have talked to pediatric orthopedic and she said everything is fine and it is nothing dramatic if she walks a little late. Im just confused about pulling up part. When she sits in my lap or on a small chair. She holds on to the sofa etc and pulls her up to standing position. She can do this even with one hand. She does this since she was 11 months old. But when she is directly on the floor. She can pull herself up on the knees but cant really pull herself up to standing position. She does it when i put my hand under her bum. I dont push her upwards. I just support her bum and then she pulls herself up. Im confused. Does all this count as pulling up or not.

I would have thought if you aren't taking any of her wright that it sounds more like a confidence thing for her.

It's a complicated move to get from kneeling to standing. One of the hardest to teach my son. He had physio due to delayed gross motor skills.

The physio told me to take the seat cushion off the settee so that he could lean on the base of the settee and shift his weight to get his foot out from underneath him.

I had to physically move his legs for him for a long time in order for him to develop the muscle memory. But it doesn't sound like this is something your daughter needs. Perhaps she just needs a bit more of a helping hand to make the task a bit easier for her while she builds up her confidence xxx
