My 16 month old will only eat foods mixed together for instance chicken dinner she'll only eat if everything is mixed together and cut up very very small.

But things like chicken nuggets & chips and hoops she'll eat seperate.

Should she be eating more normally by now?

She sometimes has a fussy week where she won't eat much of anything but other than that she's a pretty good eater. A friend passed comment on her still eating like a 'baby' and it's worried me 😳

Your daughter is still a baby, your friend was not kind to make that remark. She will change how she eats as time goes on, please don't worry about it.

At 16 months, I think you want them to be able to bite off a piece of food and move it around their mouth to chew it and swallow it. It sounds like she can do this, if she eats chicken nuggets and chips, she just prefers mixed, chopped food. I wouldn't be worried about that at 16 months – perhaps gradually chop stuff in very slightly larger pieces if you think she's not really chewing very much (or you're getting tired of mincing everything).
